The iconic Harlem native DJ Red Alert was on the Combat Jack Show dropping some gems about joining the the Zulu Nation, and how dangerous New York City was in the 1970s.

He also speaks about his very large part in the “Bridge Wars”, and working with Marley Marl on production duties, as well as the how the formation of the Native Tongues came about.

DJ Red Alert is known to be the 1st DJ to break the infamous track “The South Bronx” on his KISS-FM radio show, as well as breaking artists such as Tribe Called Quest, Queen Latifah and Black Sheep.

To put it mildly, the man is a genius.
