Ghostface Killah Loses Lawsuit Filed By Composer Jack Urbont

Ghostface Killah faces lien on his Wu-Tang Clan  royalties due to composer Jack Urbont of the “Iron Man Theme” composition being used on “Supreme Cliental” without permission.

This may occur due to a default judgment, as the complaint was unable to be delivered to Ghost, even though a private investigator was hired. And Ghost failed to turn up to court or respond to requests of a reschedule.

Urbont’s attorney Richard Busch  stated to a Los Angeles reporter

“We obviously are pleased with the court’s decision and believe it to be correct and just”. “As far as Mr. Coles (Ghostface) is concerned, we will now submit evidence on damages to establish actual and statutory damages for willful infringement of Mr Urbont’s composition”.

Claims remain to be litigated against Sony music , as the default judgement did not relate to the organisation, so more on this in the near future.
