Recently interviewed by Wordplay Magazine the cinematic lyricist Cormega showed his admiration to young Joey Badd$$ for his penmanship and freestyle ability, and on him keeping his style Brooklyn, New York.
The rapper illustrated how he didn’t respect New York rappers who have adopted the southern production and even the southern accent on their tracks, which don’t represent where their from.
He conveyed you can tell Joey Badda$$ has studied the New York legends of the game, and compared him to the Brooklyn iconic group Black Moon.
He went on to say he respects Joey’s appetite in the art of rhyming, and stated Joey is one of the few rappers he would work with.
It’s nice to see highly regarded rappers such as Cormega show their appreciation to real talented young rappers carving out their careers.
