After consistently blitzing live shows in the UK and beyond as One quarter of super group The Four Owls and one third of The Brothers Of The Stone, BVA is no stranger to the scene, his honest poignant rapid fire delivery already  a favorite with High Focus fans. Now it is time for BVA, aka Rusty Take Off, to fly solo.

Following The Four Owls & Brothers Of The Stone tradition, the production duties are taken care of by brothers Illinformed and Leaf Dog. This album is going to be a real crowd pleaser as the brothers serve up another healthy helping of their tried and tested formula of uncompromising straight up Boom Bap. To top it off, BVA has collaborated with some of the most talented performers in the country for this album. Long time collaborator Leaf Dog makes several appearances reminding us of how magic the pair’s chemistry is. HF artists Fliptrix, Verb T, Dirty Dike, Rag N Bone Man, Cracker Jon  and close affiliates Smellington Piff and Kashmere  all make appearances also, adding to the overall flavor on offer and really showcasing the strength behind the High Focus brand.

The first taste of the album, ‘I Can’t Hear You’ produced by Leaf Dog, has been doing the rounds on Youtube and has racked up 20,000 views in under 3 weeks as well as an overwhelmingly positive response from fans the world over. The album’s first official single is ‘This Love Is Love’, another Leaf Dog produced heat rock, which sets the tone perfectly for the rest of the album. A heartfelt ode to underground Hip Hop. The chorus sums it perfectly ‘We don’t need the glamour and glitz, all you need is a beat and somebody that spits’, infectious, catchy and true to the roots of ‘that’ sound we all know and love, this tune will leave fans hungry for more. Accompanied by an incredible visual, and a 30 ft Wu Tang symbol, this will spread like wild fire.

The album takes the listener a journey through the world of BVA, from being very aware and awake to the ways of the world to a virtually unconscious state, of not being very aware at all and back again. To many this will be a very relatable album, with topics ranging from the everlasting day to day grind, maintaining positive attitude rain or shine all the way through to mind expanding extra curricular activities and their after effects. The project encapsulates modern British life with all its come ups and come downs. Much like BVA’s personal philosophy, Be Very Aware is a down to earth project yet remains completely sky high through out.
