Busta Rhymes partners with Google on new album “Year Of The Dragon”

Busta Rhymes partners with Google Play to provide his latest album offering “Year Of The Dragon” which will be released on August 21st, for free. But, not for everyone. Pooo! More on that in a sec…

Google Play is Google’s online shop for Android apps, movies, music, games, books and their Nexus tablet. At the moment, it’s only available in America.

To create some buzz/marketing hype around the album, Google and Busta, have made a 20 minute documentary “Life And Rhymes”, that tells the story of Busta Rhymes life. It covers from when he first broke out onto the scene, up to the release of his forthcoming album.

The video features hip hop artists like Charlie Brown, Q tip, Phife Dawg, Spliff Star, J-Doe, Dj Scratchator, Sadat X, Brand Nubian, Reek Da Villian, and more.

This is an education for you newbie hip hop heads that don’t know about “Leaders Of The New School”, Busta’s old crew or just who the F-Heck Busta Rhymes is anyway..

There’s a good thing and bad thing about this, if you live in the US, you can get to download the album for free next Tuesday, Yay! But you can’t if you’re from the UK, as Google Play isn’t available to us as yet. Boooo!

Regardless, it’s an interesting documentary and something to remind us that Busta Rhymes, no matter how long he’s been in the game for, is still relevant.

Check out the banging Busta Rhymes “King Tut” ft. Reek da Villian & J Doe Official video form the “Year Of The Dragon” album.

Get it for free here (US only). Sorry!

Leave your comments below about what you think about the documentary.
