We have this pride amongst us writers here on Itch FM that involves being amongst the first to break big news and to reveal hot artists.
One artist that we want to reveal to you who we feel you shouldn’t be sleeping on is Astro aka Astronomical Kid.
He’s 16 years old, from the U.S and you may have heard about him if you watched X factor U.S.A, in 2011.
No, you didn’t watch it? Damn!
I know, not the kind of programme any head would want to admit watching. I won’t tell!
Anyway, this Astronomical Kid and he is pretty…..well, astronomical!
Real name Brian Bradley, from Brooklyn, New York, has been developing his skills and spitting bars to his piers from a young age.
As I mentioned above, in 2011 he featured on The X Factor U.S.A and did a crazy audition in front of millions of viewers. For which he was the runner up in that seasons finals.
Youtube took the video over and to date the video below has clocked up 4.6 million views (as of the time of this writing).

Since then, he has gone on to do interviews, performances and all sorts, in popular U.S primetime programmes, released the mixtapes “Yes, I Write My Own Rhymes” series, “DeadBeats & Lazy Lyrics”, “The Chosen One” and “LΦSER!” and of course accompanying all that music he has performed numerous live shows.
His most popular video (below) is of the same song he auditioned on the X Factor….

That video was released in 2010, a year before X Factor, but you can see at a young age he had skills.
Moving into the future (2013 to be precise) you’ll hear a broken voiced Astro in his latest video “Don’t Test Me”, that is produced by DJ Shadow.

We’re not too sure which 90’s hip hop artist Astro is a reincarnation of (if any), but we do have to say this kid has got the 90’s hip hop running in his veins.
We’re going to be keeping a close eye on Astro.
