This 22-year-old MC has channelled the violence and deprivation of his upbringing into a rapid-fire rush of rhymes.
An absent father, brothers he’s never met, and crack dealers and gang warfare on his doorstep: 22-year-old MC Scrufizzer has nevertheless managed to turn this base metal background into a golden future, deploying his vocal dexterity in a lungbusting blur of hedonism and social realism.
“When you have nothing, you’ve just got to go out and be you,” he says. “You become a man on your own.”
