Well you know you was treated to a few unreleased J Dilla projects this year such as Dillatroit and Rebirth of Detroit. Well guest what? There’s going to be more J Dilla unreleased projects being released for your pleasure.
The first release from the “Lost Scrolls” material, as it’s called by J Dilla Music Catalogue curator Frank Nitt, is due December. The digital only single “The Throwaway” is credited to the Yancey Boys featuring Frank Nitt. On this track, Dilla’s brother Illa J spits over a vintage Dilla beat.
In 2013 a 10″ vinyl release of unheard Jay Dee tracks will drop, which feature’s Dilla as both the producer and the MC. There’s also plans for the first official release of the bootleg classic Frank & Dank album, 48 Hours, which is the only LP Dilla ever produced without using samples.
