Itch FM – Dedicated to Hip Hop
Lupe Fiasco was removed from the stage during a performance at Hamilton Live in Washington, D.C. on Sunday (January 20) night.
If we’re to believe reports, after performing an anti-war song for 30 mins, Lupe Fiasco was asked to move on to another song but refused to do so and was later ask to leave the stage, by security who went on stage to do so.
Lupe was reportedly booked to perform as part of a celebration for Obama’s inauguration, which takes place on Monday (January 21).
Lupe Fiasco stated that he did not vote for President Barack Obama in the recent November election.
“Limbaugh is a racist, Glenn Beck is a racist,” he rapped. “Gaza Strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say (bleep).
That’s why I ain’t vote for him, next one either.” which is reported in the press as anti-Obama comments.
However, after doing some research, it is my belief that Lupe Fiasco is not anti-Obama but anti-war, therefore whatever president is in the white house his comments would have been the same, unless their policy was totally against war.
